The objective of this project was to brand an organization that deals with fish consumer health and sustainability towards seafood. The goal of Fish Consumer Resources is to inform consumers about the dangers of eating fish and educate about the safer practices and alternatives.
Organization Design Aspects
Here is the vertical stacked logo in the primary color pallet on white background. The design decision of the logo is based on certain elements of the ocean and the food chain.
The Eurostile typeface is perfect for this organization because it is already a clean typeface and can be represented as the ocean or the fish being clean. The added elements can represent the “something extra” you might get in fish like parasites or mercury. The Fish Consumer Resources logo typeface uses a mixture of Eurostile Bold and the Modified weight.
These are some icons examples that can be used within the organization. The icons are based on the logo and have elements derived from it. We want to have familiarity so that the icons can stand alone and have an association with the organization.
Here is an abstract pattern that can be used in many instances. This pattern can represent many things. Examples are ocean waves, fish nets, seaweed, parasites, etc.
The color scheme of the organization has been selected specifically to be based on certain elements of the Earth's aquatic life. There are six colors named to represent bodies of water and then six colors named to represent aquatic life.
The imagery that will be used for this organization will be illustration. These drawings will give a more friendly vibe and a sense of care. Each illustration will highlight a certain aspect of itself. For example, the illustration of the salmon nigiri in the image on the next page is a more pale color than the other pieces. There is also a presence of a parasite in that piece of salmon.
