It Was a Dream

Before creating It Was a Dream, I literally had a dream. In this dream, I was standing in a shallow part of a lake at sunset and in the distance was a colossal crystal pillar towering the land. I was not alone, however. Keeping me company were these friendly lantern-like creatures that flew across the lake and one happened to perch itself on my wrist.

In creating this piece, I took not only elements from my dream but also the crystal pillar from the video game Final Fantasy XIII and the lanterns that were annually lit and released into the sky on Rapunzel's birthday in the movie Tangled.
